Default Rebuilding the old 84

My Uncle died of cancer in 1997. This cart was purchased for him to work on the farm. It was easier for him to get in and out of the cart than a Pickup truck. After he passed, the old 84 was put in a barn and remained there till 2 years ago. I gave it to a friend to use on a farm that another of our friends manages. He called me in Sept to see if I wanted the cart back before he hauled it to the scrap yard.
Being that it was my Uncles cart and my father did not want to see it, I decided to rebuild it from the ground up.

While bring her home, something flew off an 18wheeler and destroyed the top. I probably should have read this as an Omen.

Keep us up with what you are doing with this cart. I am very interested in seeing where this story ends.

There was so much rust around the battery boxes that I decided to just cut out everything and build new

New battery boxes and top rails

Welded up new battery boxes, was even lucky enough to set the timer on the camera and catch a weld in progress.

The rear bumper was in need of replacing. Saw in another thread where a square tube was used to replace the stock one.

The bagwell needed a few dents to be beat out, surface rust removed, and sprayed with bed liner.

I wouldn't even let the dog "Jade" ride in that nasty thing
