Ez go won't go
I have a 1998 ez go txt, it will not go, I have replaced all batteries, reading 37.1 volts. I have replaced key switch reading 36.9. I have replace micro accelerator switch reading with pedal pressed o.oo, with pedal not pressed reading is 0.1 volts. Wires coming out of accelarator box blue and green reading o.o with pedal pressed and 0.1 without pedal pressed. I have replaced solenoid reading b- and m- is 36.3. B+ and b- reading 36.3. Bottom terminals of solenoid reads .7. The front terminals with the positive and negative wires on the solenoid is reading nothing. The diode IN5406 is reading nothing, diode on bottom of solenoid is reading .7. Charge box is reading 37 volts and reed switch is reading 37 volts. My solenoid is not clicking, could it be the top diode? Please help I'm about to pull all my hair out trying to figure this out. If anyone would like to call me to discuss possible solutions feel free 205-393-9151

Re: Ez go won't go
Without the solenoid not clicking it makes we curious about your activation circuit. Here check this out, let us know what you find out.
Txt solenoid activation power starts on the white wire on the 36+ of the battery pack. Power travels to the charger receptacle, goes through a reed switch inside the receptacle and comes out on the red 12 gauge red wire. ( check for power here, 1st!) the red wire travels back through the loom to the forward and reverse switch where it attaches to a micro. The other side of that micro has a blue wire attached that runs under the cart to the front and arrives at the keyswitch. The keyswitch then transfers power to a green wire which returns to the area of the forward and reverse switch. The power then goes through a 4 pin molex connector and travels to the "pedal box" (located under the floorboard of the car) where it goes through a micro and comes out on another red wire. That red wire comes back up to the controller/f&r area where it once again goes through the 4 pin molex connector and continues on to the small post of the solenoid. |

Re: Ez go won't go
Welcome to BGW.
Like LostHusker said, lets get the solenoid to click first and go from there. Maybe this will help. The Red line is from the Positive terrminal of the battery pack to the solenoid coil and the Green line is from the negative terminal. You mention two diodes on the solenoid. There should be one diode and one resistor. The resistor (250 Ohm 5W) is connected between the main terminals that the high current cables are attached to. The diode goes between the smaller (coil) activation terminals. The end of the diode with the band on it, should be attached to the terminal that has the wire coming from the throttle microswitch (MS-3). For testing purposes, the diode can be disconnected, but needs one installed for use. Let us know what you find. |
