Default 95 EZGO no go after lift kit and big tires

I am working on a 95 medalist. It worked great, then over the course of a week or so I installed a 3'' drop axle lift and 22x11x8 tires. When I was driving it to get the steering where I wanted after the lift, it quit. I have driven it about 800 feet with the lift and bigger tires.

It is stock 36 volts, stock motor, stock controller, stock FNR switch. It has good batteries (charged with a charger that I know is good and took a full charge) and 4ga wires.

When it was running after the lift install, it ran fine then started having what appeared to be intermittent power, then it just stopped. Now when the key switch is on and you press the accelerator in either forward or reverse, the solenoid clicks but cart doesn't move.

Could running bigger tires for a matter of a few hundred feet smoke the stock controller? I have checked all connections etc. and everything is tight. There was no smoke or "burnt" smell from anywhere after this happened.

I don't have a DVM, may have to borrow one to troubleshoot this.

Suggestions??

Yes the tires could of killed it, but lets find out what you have, look at the chart and tell us what drive system you have, and yes you need a DVM you say the batteries are good, how do you know there good??
and did the charger shut off by it's self ??

From personal experience with a 95 Medalist series cart ( I don't think you have to worry about it being a SepEx system that early)...
Check your FNR switch connections. If you're still running original cables and switch, they get crunchy over time. Twice I have burnt end lugs off the cables at the FNR when under heavy pulling strain. Check the one at 8'clock as you are facing it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I thought the pack was good based on a charger I think is good shutting of automatically.

As it turns out, I was pulling on all of the wires again to make sure they were on tight ec, I found the black wire going into the top of the comtroller was off the little post. Plugged it in and WE HAVE MOVEMENT

The solenoid still clicks as the pedal is depressed but it then acts normal, I don't seem to rememeber the solenoid clicking before. It certainly appears as though somone has goofed with these wires before. The ends that are on the wires are the spade type connectors you can buy at Autozone, doesn't seem right.

Does anyone have any pictures or links to the type of ends that should be on there? Any idea why the solenoid would click but still seem to work right?

Oh, and it's a series cart. Thanks again!

Possibly the solenoid was fused ( continuously on )
before. In normal operation, it should click.
