Default Planning To Replace Powerwise QE - How About Lester?

I recently bought an '07 EZGO TXTPDS that came with the PowerWise QE charger. The charger is presently working ok but from what I have read on this forum it is just a matter of time before it goes south so I am planning ahead for another charger.

I am sure if I ask "Which charger" I will get a bunch of personal preferences. Many seem to prefer the larger ferroresonant chargers. I really like the idea of the onboard chargers but they don't seem popular from a durability and repairability standpoint.

One charger brand I see pop up frequently is Lester. I noticed that they offer one onboard charger:

I haven't talked with them about repairability but I like the fact that they do repair work on their other chargers and are located in Nebraska.

Any input on this charger and Lester Electrical would be appreciated.

Rick

This is a good charger. I used to sell these and never had a single problem with them. They are big and it is hard to find a place to mount them where they have enough clearance and air for proper cooling.
The idea of an on board charger has always been appealing, the reality has been that the average on board chargers can not compare to the reliability and service record of the old transformer type floor units.
This unit may well be the exception. But cost has been a consideration.
