Help with my amp install

Hello all,
This weekend I was installing a Sony DCX x100 head unit, Polk Atrium 4 speakers, Polk 525 MM speakers, Blaupunkt powered amp and a JBL MA6004.
Have a voltage reducer(12V) in place. When I powered the system without the amp, the head unit worked fine as did the subwoofer but the amp did not then I realized the REM wire had not been hooked up. Hooked up the REM and the stereo no longer worked properly but was powered and the JBL amp blinked, which in the manual says it is either a bad amp or not enough power.

Question: was I suppose to hook up the amp power to the Voltage reducer or to 2 batteries? I am wondering if the reducer is not giving full amperage to the amp to drive it? Has brand new Trojan 105 batteries in the Cart, which is 36V EZGO PDS TXT

Amp has 8 gauge wires running to it. Any ideas?

I would get a separate 12 v for all that stuff ...When you use cart batteries it discharges them unevenly eventually leading to a shorter lifespan on those batteries ... I had a cd player/radio on mine and always had problems with the units so now i just have an amp and a separate 12v to run it and a 3.5 mm headphone to RCA inputs hooked to my amp and use my DRIOD for a head unit then you have it all... sat radio ,internet radio,mp3's

MA6004 draws up to 40A.
No model number given for Blaupunkt amp, so don't know the current draw for it.
What is the max Amps output of the 12V converter?

Sounds like you need a higher ampacity 12V converter, or an additional one for the JBL, or a separate 12V battery for the sound system.

IMHO, a stand-alone 12v accessory system is the only way to fly. If you're hooking up a lot of accessories, you could spend a lot of money very quickly on converters. A $40 automobile battery does it all for you.

I have a starting battery from a clunker I sent to its final resting place about 5 years ago. It powers all my 12v accessories. Winch, lights, stereo, power outlets and all. It is a bit more effort to string your own wiring, but it is well worth it. Truth be known, I'm considering an upgrade to a Painless harness, like race car builders use. It would look much neater than my hamfisted, cobweb lookalike "harness". (if such it can be called...)

I strung wires as accessories were added with no real circuit plan to begin with, and it shows. I am ashamed to lift my seat in the presence of others. I'd probably have five or six hundred additional dollars in convertors, had I gone that route.

Have been searching for a higher amp Voltage reducer but 30 is the highest I have found.
So I guess my options are the following:
1. Get a 12 V battery to power the system.
2. Get a higher amp voltage reducer for current amp to see if it works, anyone know where to get one.
3. Get a 2 channel amp and power 2 speakers per channel(any suggestions)
4. Get a separate voltage reducer for the JBL amp

Any other input will be gladly accepted.
