I get no reading on the voltage meter, Is this is a common problem? If so what are the usual suspects?

take voltage readings from each battery...............you need at least 28 volts before the charger will come on so start there...........make sure everything cable wise is clean and tight and batteries are wired up right...........................

Do you mean it clicks when you plug it into the cart charge receptacle?
If the charger is "clicking" when you plug it into the cart it IS sensing the correct amount of voltage it's just not charging. The "clicking" is the sound of the relay which is supposed to start the charger. (even thought its not, apparently) Have you checked the 120 AC wall outlet to make sure its working? Check all your 120 AC cords and make sure they are good...Does it hum at all? Listen real close and let us know if it hums at all. If it clicks and hums the charger is coming on you just may have other issues like a transformer, diode or something else internal. Again...if the charger is seeing the correct amount of voltage it will "click". If you had a bad connection it would not click at all because it would not sense the voltage. |

Does it hum real loud? Or hums but nothing on the Amp guage?
I think You have some other issues inside the charger. It is sensing voltage and coming on so it wont be a connection on the battery pack. Check out this post. Give you a little peak inside the charger and a few things to check. Why wont my charger come on? |
