ezgo 98 TXT speed/torque advice
Hello everyone. My first post on this forum and i am very new to the cart realm so please be gentle..lol...I recently purchased a 98 ezgo txt which i believe is a dcs cart. (it has the lever under the seat and the switch inside the battery compartment) I am also pretty positive that it is a 36v.
So my dilema is: I want to increase the speed of it as much as possible but i want to keep it pretty simple. ie I would like to change the speed controller OR the motor. Whichever is the best way to do it. OR change it over to 48v. I would kinda prefer not to do that since it sounds the most demanding and i would have to rewire alot of stuff. Or so it sounds anyway. I am trying to keep it relatively inexpensive too which is why i dont wanna change everything. Something around $500ish or less would be great. I will be running on relatively flat ground and am more concerned with speed than torque. I would like to try to get to at least 23-25mph. If possible. btw, i do have a 5inch lift kit and 23 inch tires on it already if that makes much difference. Thanks for any help you can give me. |

Welcome to the forum prime21.......................
Not all of the EZGO folks that can help, visit this section of the forum. It would be to your advantage if you re-post your question under Electric EZGO where more people can see it. You'll get better results there. |

Re: ezgo 98 TXT speed/torque advice
thanks for moving the original. After i posted the thread i realized it was in the wrong section but then i didnt want to repost in the correct thread and have 2 of the same threads going in different sections. Sorry about that.
Just a follow up to my first question. I will absolutely upgrade to a 48v if it is clearly the best thing for me to do. But if i can get similar results by doing something easier and cheaper then i would rather do that. Any advice? |
