Default Jakes Lift Kit Tie Rod issue

I am installing a Jake's 5 in drop axle lift on my 02 TXT. My existing tie rod doesn't fit (just a little too short) and I need to buy a longer tie rod. The kit satys to buy one from Jake's. But, I can't get the tie rod ends off my old tie rod (locked frozen). Do I need to replace the tie rod ends with the exact same tie rod ends that are on it now (meaning greasable vs non-greasable?) thought? Thanks.

Most car parts stores will lend you the tie rod removing tool you need for free. Even if you gotta buy one, they're cheap.

If I read this wrong, there are products you can spray on and let it soak that might help. If that doesn't work, apply heat. If that doesn't work, you need to replace the tie-rod and the tie-rod end, since you need to be able to adjust them.

Thanks for the help.

I tried some liquid wrench. It was a no go, so I went ahead and bought the Jake's tie rod and new ends.

Now on the rear lift portion of our show. I can't wait to post pics!
