Default loss of torque/power?

I noticed a substantial loss of power the last two times my cart got to around 49 volts. The last two times it was getting very slow on a ~45 degree grade. The first time it happened, I stopped the cart, let it rest awhile, and went back to get it later. The 2nd time was today. I plan on letting it rest and going back later to try it. I have never ran it below 48 volts, and just after a charge, my pack measures 51.7 volts, but after 24 hours I think it reads about 51 volts. The batteries are approximately 5-6 years old but have been very well maintained, never low water, etc. The controller was very cool to the touch today, and the motor was warm, but not hot. I have an Alltrax AXE programmable 500 amp controller, and I think I have been running the controller @ 100% on the stock motor. (agaist advice to leave it at 80%).
There is a low voltage setting that shuts the controller down in the programming, but I can't remember where I have that set. Can anyone tell me if it could be controller settings or if the moter may be dying?

I have 4 ga. cables and upgraded FNR and solenoid.

Thanks

just went to get the cart after about an hour and a half, turned on the switch and meter was showing 49.7 volts. Depressed pedal and she came out of there like a champ. Maybe my motor is getting weak.
Thanks

Take you handheld DMM with you and the next time the cart bogs down or stops, measure the individual battery voltages.
They should all read about the same. if one or two read a volt or so less than the others, they might be the problem.

Are you running 8 x 6V or 6 x 8V or 4 x 12V?

OK, Thanks, I'll try that.
I am running 6-8 volts for now - plan to go to 8-6 volts later.
