Zilla's sick..
I replaced the batteries, cables and put a pq bandit on ZILLA a few weeks ago ..ever since then it has been acting crazy and getting worse after a charge when i hit the gas it clicks and does nothing after a few tries it will go (makes no diff in fwd or rev) and then i have to give it no more than 1/4 throttle for a second and then it's fine till it sits for awhile and then it will do it again but not as bad ....I got the controller last summer it was new/rebuilt curtis they said it was a 400 amp but after some comparisons to other carts with a 400 a cont and some with 275 amp curtis i'm thinking i got a 275 amp also .... anyways what do y'all think it is... Thanks Nate...

Re: Zilla's sick..
Stock and even most rebuilt controllers will not hold up in carts named after Godzilla in my experience....
When you try to go and it does not. ... does the solenoid click? If no, try to figure out which polarity of the solenoid activation circuit you are missing. No matter how infamous your cart is in your neighborhood it is always a good idea to post what make yr and model cart you are asking for help with including any drive system modifications. |

Re: Zilla's sick..
Uhh All that is in my signature scottyb....lol.... And yes The solenoid is clicking My controller is 24 to 36 volts I've gotta hunch that it is my new batteries having such a higher voltage than them old batteries for that is making it have a overvoltage shut down The new battery show about 39.5 volts after charging The old ones were about 37.9 after charging and I mean directly after the charger shut dow.n

Re: Zilla's sick..
Where do they settle? Mine settle at 38.9 after a 12hr rest. Does the cart run any better if you let the batteries rest after charging?

Re: Zilla's sick..
I had the same problem last summer and it ended up being the ITS throttle. Bought a replacement coil and all was well. Symptoms were: Hesitation and bucking while running, got worse then it would hesitate before it would move and finally towards the very end it just would sit there and all I would get is a solenoid click and nothing. Did all the troubleshooting for my series TXT and sure enough it was the ITS! (I did use it as an excuse to get a 400 amp controller and 4ga cables, wife just wanted it running again).

Re: Zilla's sick..
Knowing that all of this happened AFTER replacing the batteries AND motor, I'll take a roll of the dice and say your knocked something loose or ajar on your FNR and microswitch contraption. Possibly even connections on the controller or solenoid. I'ld check every wire for nicks and security and make sure your diode isn't contacting something else. Even if I'm wrong it'll be one less troubleshooting completed.
