The poll is unanimous! We all replace our own batteries!

That's a good point with the Trojan lifting strap. The metal hooks do have to be rebent from time to time, though mine probably saw more action than it was designed to withstand.

All you Ezgo Owners pay attention now!

Every TXT has an electrical problem built right in.

The cables from the motor wrap around the battery frame upright on their way to the speed control.

Ezgo, in their ultimate wisdom, used a metal loop to contain the cables and wires at the corner of the frame. After about 10 yrs of service the loop rubs through the cable jackets. It can happen sooner if the cart is used a lot or on rough terrain.

Every TXT cart should be modified in this area. I've done a dozen different things but have settled on this easy fix. After taping up the damaged jackets I put a slit piece of black irrigation tube over the group of cables and slide it back into the hoop. This irrigation tube is a hard durable plastic. A couple if zip ties hold it in place.

Every TXT that gets batteries in my shop gets this fix.
