Default EMP switched redesign

On a 36 v 99 EZGO TXT Series cart. Do I need a new controller? Would I benefit from a larger controller? Which one?

Not sure I understand the thread title? But a larger speed control basically allows the motor access to more amperage. More amperage equals more torque.

I have a EMP 2 speed redesign motor. What controller would you suggest to benefit the most out of this motor.

I'm not familiar with the motor you are asking about, I think that's a question you may have to ask EMP Unless somebody else who knows chimes in...

I would talk to chuck a little about the motor he built for you, most likely you could go with a 400-500 amp unit without much trouble. What kind of mods do you have, lift, tires, etc. I would email him just to confirm, but I think you would be safe with that size controller. Do you already have upgraded wiring for your cart?
