Default DCS motor on a PDS

Will a motor off of a DCS cart work on a PDS cart without the spped control setup? i got a PDS cart without a motor and came across a DCS motor for free,

No it will not, a pds will work for a dcs but not the other way around. The pds controller needs to see the doped sensor on the pds motor, the dcs motor does not have a speed sensor.

If I upgrade to the Altrax contoller which does not use the speed sensor would the DCS motor work???

You are correct. Just make sure the controller is programmed for the right field mapping.

DCS requires a Field mapping of 3. PDS is Field map 4
