Default 93 EZGO Electrical Problem, NEED HELP!

I got a 93 EZGO 36 Volt. I was told that the controller was bad. All it would do is solinoid click. I put a new controller on and it was doing the same thing. I replaced the potimeter and still the same thing. If I jump across B negative to M negative the motor will run. I'm at my wits end, NEED HELP!

This is probably a stupid question, but I usually start at square one to make sure...have you checked your batteries and cables?

If it runs jumpered as you say then something is not wired correctly. Have you gotten a wiring diagram from the top of this section? Print it out and compare it to your cart line by line.

I've checked all battery connections. Batteries are only a month old. I got a wiring diagram and everything is set-up according to the diagram. It was doing the same thing with the old controller. Is it possible that the new controller is bad too and is there anyway to check it?

Yes I have checked the wiring with the diagram and everything is as shown. Seems like it isn't getting enough power through the potimeter.

With a volt/ohm meter probe the 2 throttle wires at the controller. Your measurement should be 0-5k ohm. 0 being 0% throttle and 5k being 100% throttle.

Make sure your getting power to the controller when the solenoid is clicking. Have you tried jumping the solenoid? If you jump the solenoid and it runs your solenoid is bad. Just because it clicks doesn't always mean it good.

I will check the ohms tomorrow when I get home from work and see what it reads.

I have jumped the solenoid, but it still doesn't run. At the solenoid, not engaged, reads 32 volts. When engaged reads 36 volts, continuously. I've checked resistor that jumps across the solenoid and it seems to be fine.

What has me stumped is I have power to controller constantly. Could it be thowing the controller into a trouble mode?

Thanks! I've been trying everyone's suggestions and any help is appreciated!
