Speed Control Toggle?
I just purchased a 2000 EZGo Electric to be a "campground cart" In the process of getting upgrades together, I wanted to get a "freedom chip"....I took I am pretty confident that I have a PDS because the FWD/Rev switch is on the dash, and I have the tow mode.run toggle on the controller cover...The problem is my cart has a toggle switch on top of the controller cover that has mild hill/all terrain/steep hill. This is connected to the spot where the freedom chip would normally go via a colored wire for each of the three settings. So I have all three modes except the speed mode. I spoke to several shops that work on EZgo, and none of them have seen this switch, and were unable to tell me if the freedom chip would actually work.....Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Speed Control Toggle?
I can but it wont be until next week, cart is about 90 miles away right now......I guess the speed control is more of a rocker than a toggle, it has mild hill on the left, all terrain in the middle, and steep hill on the right. It doesn't look like a custom mod, it looks to be a factory job...

Re: Speed Control Toggle?
It's custom. I've never heard of Ezgo doing that.

Re: Speed Control Toggle?
Ill get some pics asap. I swear it looks like a factory deal, but it definitely could be custom, nobody seems to be aware of it. I am just a little worried about putting the freedom chip in because if it is some special model it may not work right with the freedom chip...

Re: Speed Control Toggle?
If it is a 2000 PDS it may not take a "chip" at all. That was a one year production model that was discontinued and a new improved PDS came out in 2001 and remains almost unchanged today.
