Default Battery Cables

I see alot of people asking if battery cables will give them more speed. I also see alot of different answers. I just wanted to share my experience and maybe it would help someone. My cart had the stock cables and I noticed that when going up small hills or under a strain I would smell a slight burning smell. I would check the cables and noticed some wear but conscidering they were stock cables I thought that was to be expected. Well after reading and learning alot on here I learned that I needed to upgrade my cables. I decided to go with the 2 gauge cable set from Scotty B. Installation was a snap and when I drove it for the first time, I was amaized at the difference. When taking my old cables off I noticed that two of them sounded really brittle on the inside and the coating on the ends of two were melted to the point it was exposing cable. I would like to tell anyone that If you suspect that your cables are old or need replacing then do it because your probably right! I now know that because of the condition of my cables, I was loosing alot of speed and now I know that I have all I am going to get with a stock set up. So basically to sum it all up, you will notice a increase in speed if your cables have some age or are a little corroded and you replace them. Thanks Scotty and the Forum members for your help.
