Need info on Advanced DC Motor # 73124G02
I have a 1999 EZ-GO Non-DCS golf cart. Need some info on this Advanced DC Motor # 73124G02. Need to know what HP it is and what controller runs it. It has another # A95-4005A also.
Runs good in troubleshooting but not at all with the throttle. Here's what I have done so far: measured the ITS, replaced Microswitch in accelerator under floor, get a beep in reverse on F&R switch, hear solenoid click by pressing accelerator but NO WHEELS turn unless wires go directly to the motor from the batteries. I believe the old Curtis 1206-001 (obsolete) controller 5-pin is BAD. Measures at 24V when should not top 16V under the tests. Before I buy a new ALLTRAX controller, I wanted to make sure the motor was STOCK. It says it is a FLEET SPEED Rating. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob |

It's a stock 2HP motor. 2800 RPM's. A stock 275 amp Curtis is used with it. A 400-450 amp Alltrax makes a decent combo. You can get a higher amp controller but the motor wont "use" all of the extra power. The stock motor can only use around 400 amps or so.

Thanks Roady for the reply. I can get an NPX4844EZ controller for more TORQUE but will it add any speed also? Or I can get an AXE4844 but what does that do for it?
Thanks for any help. |

Re: Need info on Advanced DC Motor # 73124G02
You will only see a torque increase. You may also see a speed increase on hills only because of the higher amps. The only way you will get more speed is a higher voltage, high rpm motor, gears or taller tires, etc.
I think the NPX line is Non-programable. The AXE is programable....other than that they are about the same. |
