Re: Anyone know what this wire is?
Those wires go to your brake pedal, looks like your cart was originally wired for brake lights.

Re: Anyone know what this wire is?
If you go to the electric ezgo section in the stickies you can download a manual, in there you can find a wiring diagram so you can make sure you hook them up properly.

Re: Anyone know what this wire is?
Quote:
Your brake pedal has a micro switch behind it, if the pedal doesn't stand off the metal back part of the brake (behind the rubber pad) it closes the micro switch causing the brake lights to stay on. Like when you would step on the brake, you push the rubber pad to the metal backing which activates (closes) the switch. With bad springs the pad stays push down basically. There should be 2 springs (ea. side) between the rubber pad and the metal backing of the brake. These springs and the 2 rubber spacers need replacement over time. Also check the micro switch, when pushed it should make a clicking noise each time, this means it's good. |

Re: Anyone know what this wire is?
I cut them a few days back and not sure which is red - can I screw it up if I connect them backwards?

Dela
Study the wiring diagram that was provided to you in the other thread you have, it has the colors in it for you, this will answer your question. LH |

Hey now... I go on this site 'cause I don't want to study
Can I burn anything out by connecting them backwards? I gots a 50/50 shot to get it right but don't want to short anything. |
