FNR wireing question

all the wireing diagrams I am finding for the FNR switch show C being connected to A2 on the Controller. My C is connected to A2 on the motor and i do not have a A2 on the controller. also many pics i see show the micro switches on the bottom of the FNR. MIne are on top. Is it installed upside down?

2004 txt series.

ok it seems whoever worked on the cart last hook B on FNR to S2 and D to S1. would this cause damage? i have switched them to the correct position but still no go.

I have a 95 Medalist. My wiring is exactly how your wiring was before you moved any wires. I've attached some diagrams, these are for series carts. Series carts do not have any pin chips in the controller or tow switch.

Check your micro switch, they must make a click noise, if not probably bad. There should be one on the directional selector. Manually activate them and listen for the click.

Your batteries and connections must also be checked.

Thanks for the response D-A But unless I am missing something your diagrams show 2 opposing connections. One shows b connected to S1 and one says b should be connected to S2? Please explain ?

Here is another wiring diagram fo a F/R switch. It show B tied to S1, so that is two for S1 and one for S2. --- S1 wins

Seriously, it doesn't matter. If the cart goes Backwards in F and Forward in R, either reverse the S1 & S2 cables on motor or on F/R switch.

EZGO doesn't reinvent the wheel when the don't have to.
They've used the same F/R switch for years. It was mounted with the microswitches down in Marathons and up in the Medalist and TXT.

The orientation of the attached F/R drawing is for a Marathon, but the image came out of a TXT manual.

As for the connection of F/R "C" terminal. There are two cables connected if Controller has an A2 terminal. If it doesn't, only a cable from C to A2 on motor is connected.
Your controller doesn't have an A2 terminal, so get rid of the second wire on "C" if it exists.

My cart is wired B to S2, D to S1. What Johnnie typed was that is works forward & reverse. So when your directional switch is in one or the other, it will move forward or reverse. If you have the switch in forword and the cart moves forward it is wired correct. Otherwise it's wired backwards and if you want it coreect switch them to B-S1 & D-S2. It will not hurt anything if wired backwards.
