Batteries lasting 7 to 10 years?
One of my local cart dealers told my buddy he has some $600 batteries (6 - 6v) that will last 7 to 10 years. I haven't read anything on bgw where batts last that long, especially not $100 batts? Is the guy full off shi....ola?

My last pack lasted 9 years. It's all about how you care for them.

I'd like to point out that the word "care" in yurtle's comment encompasses both how the batteries are used, as well as how they are maintained. If the batteries are properly maintained and some catastrophic failure in the cart or charger doesn't kill them, the average State of Charge determines their longevity. Here is a chart showing theoretical life expectancy vs average State of Charge. |
