i have a 2001 electric ezgo cart...36v...i would like to convert it to 48 v...can someone tell me the best way to do it or were i could find good information/instructions on how to...(dealer will cost to much)

You will need
1. 48 volt speed controller. 2. 48 volts worth of batteries 3. 48 volt solenoid (some get by with the 36 volt) 4. 48 volt charger (optional)You can charge two 6 volt batteries with a 12 volt automotive type charger. It's a fairly easy convert. The hardest thing will be wiring the new speed controller in. Even then it's pretty much unbolt/bolt. The solenoid will wire up like the original solenoid. If you use six 8 volt batteries they will pretty much wire the same way as the stock batteries. Best thing to do is read, read, read,...and ask as many questions as you want. Wow..., sluggish, 36V upgrade. Might be a good idea to create a specific non-post thread to answer that question. looks like all of us have many of the same problems, questions, desires.
