Default EZ-GO Electric with problems

I'm looking at picking up a 91 EZ-GO electric (36v) with charger, no batteries, and needs a new spline coupler and new spline shaft in trans axle. How major is this as I know nothing about electric carts? What would be a good deal? thanks

Which electrical system?
Controller or resistor?
They made both that year.

Not sure was planning on checking it out this weekend. But that plan may go by the wayside and start looking for a different project and just stay with gas carts.

Nice avatar there Big Red. I was ships company aboard CV-43, the USS Coral Sea, 77-81.

Welcome to the forum, mate!

And all I did in the Navy was build bombs (really missles) for a better America, stength through superior fire power. Can't wire a Toyota but give me a sidwinder and can get it in working shape.

After two WEST-PAC tours..., I plead the 5th on what I did in the Navy.

Subic Bay is (was) a young mans play ground.

Unless you are going to get it real cheap ($100-150), I would stay away from anything needing batteries and transaxle work.

Don't know about where you are, but around here in NC, if you take your time, you can still find nice running carts or carts that just need minor work reasonably priced.

Thanks for the feedback on the cart and all the welcomes. As for Uncle Sugars Canoe Club I retired after 22 years and miss the overseas play but not the political crap.

If you need help with your cart, this is a good place to find it.

As for the canoe club, you're a better man than me. I only managed 4 years, but they were worth a lifetime. Port calls were great, but sea duty really sucked. Happy to be a civilian!!
