Default Help!! Can not get new controller working..

Just got a 400 amp controller from D&D - Can not for the life of me get it hooked up correctly. Finally stopped sparking when I connected the terminal, and volt meter turns on - but no go...

Do have the new solenoid as well - 400

New FNR - 30 minute install

New motor - 5 minute install

New controller - 10 hours.... to be continued...

Crap picture, but this is it.

My OEM had B- B+ M1 A2

This only has B- B+ M1

Do you ignore A2 to FNR?

Where do charger wires go?

What connections go to each terminal?

I followed the diagram to a tee - my neighbor is an electrical engineer, tested all on the volt meter - all are good. He couldn't get it goin.....

This will answer your A2 question. It, and dozens of others, are available for downloading from EV Drives.

"for units without A2 - bolt the two wires together and tape connection"

Which two wires?

Am I taking wire from A2 to C and A2 to A2 and piecing together, so that C goes directly to A2 motor?

Thank you... this diagram is different from the one sent. Really appreciate it

Go directly from motor A2 to FNR C. The only reason to do what Alltrax recommended is if you already have controller A2 wires, and you can't do what I said in my first sentence.

Looking at this pic posted by D-A..

DO I hook both charger cables - white and black to the same post on solenoid with blue "com" cable coming from FNR?

If so, which post - the B+ is running to one post now.

The wires from charger receptacle connect to the battery pack.

Black wire from charger receptacle goes to Neg. terminal on Right-Rear battery.
White wire from charger receptacle goes to Pos. terminal on Right-Front battery via a 50A or 60A fuse.
If a 250A or 400A fuse came with controller, it also goes on Pos. terminal of Right-Front battery and high current cable that goes to battery side of solenoid main terminals connects to it
