rear lights
I am trying to wire the rear lights on my ezgo. I have 12a volts to the harness. The front light is working fine also. The rear lights I have are mfg by Chris products and have 3wiresa black red and brown. I have tried blk and red, brown and red and cannot get the light to come on. Any suggestions would be a great help

Re: rear lights
Grab a jumper from the 12v and test the bulb. Then test the socket for continuity. My guess is that the bulb is burned out, or the socket is corroded. If you have power and ground to the fixture, there's nothing else left.

Re: rear lights
Does the cart have brake and turn signals? The black wire is almost certainly ground. Two of the leads should actuate the high( one for brake and one for blinkers) and one should activate the low( marker lamps). Use a multimeter and a 12 v power source to discern which leads are which.

If so, first check the micro switch mounted behind the pedal, it can be adjusted to move closer or further away from the pedal to activate when the brake is pressed. The switch makes a clicking noise, which means it's good. Check fuse-Red wire on fuse block see attachments for rear light wiring, it is different from yours but it may help! |

Re: rear lights
The lights are brand new. There is no corrosion and the bulbs appear fine.

Re: rear lights

Re: rear lights
In that case, hook the black to the wire coming from the side of the socket, and whichever lead comes from your switch to one of the wires coming from the tip of the socket. High or low, your choice.

Re: rear lights
One thing.....Nothing gets grounded to the frame from my understanding. You run a ground back to the pair of batteries you choose to get the 12 volts from or to the 12 volt converter.
