12V Battery For Stereo Help
Buggie Enthusiasts:
I currently have my stereo and LEDs hooked up to two of my 6 6V batteries. Saturday I wheeled down to a neighbors and had the stereo on for 2 hours and my voltage was cut in half! I am looking for a 12V additional battery just to run the stereo. I have a really good connection at Interstate Batteries and would like to know if anyone has a pat number for what battery would be best? www.interstatebatteries.com Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: 12V Battery For Stereo Help
Called Interstate and they recommended a SRM-24 battery... Maybe I should have done that first!

If you can get a high capacity deep cycle battery from them, that will serve you the best. Something that you would use for a trolling motor.

Fire, where did you get that diamond plate that sits on outside of rocker panels? I see it doesn't wrap, kind of cool.

I agree !! They don't mind being discharged to 60% or so. Best to also recharge that one as often as possible, same as your main pack. - RAY

Re: 12V Battery For Stereo Help
Back seat was original to the cart from the factory. It had the back seat kit with the upgraded springs. I just re-upholstered the ugly white vinyl.
The diamond plate I ordered form someone on eBay 2 years ago... I ordered a battery from my Interstate friend for $62. It is a marine deep cycle 12V SRM-24. |

Re: 12V Battery For Stereo Help
Yeah it is cool. I dont think its a fold down though. I removed the hand bars on my flip down rear seat.....thinking about adding the seat handles like on front seats. I hate all those bars too. I will lose the ability to flip it down

Re: 12V Battery For Stereo Help
Yes it folds down flat in back but rests on the rear cowl.
