Default new to the golf cart circuit

I just picked up an old ez go 3 wheeled golf cart. Can someone help me decode it? The model # is X440-4GE. The Serial # is 244x1834 and the manufacture # is 134-1045E. Any info would be great. thanks

Welcome to BGW!

You'll probably have to call EZGO Customer Support to find out date made, etc. 1-877-394-6727

Is it running?

I just got it last night. I don't know if it runs yet or not. The batteries were all cracked. Its a 36v system, so I might try to do 3-12v marine style batteries. I picked it up for 50 bucks and sold the junk batteries to scrap yard for $78.

It is good for testing if you have those already. 3 12v I mean.

yea ive read that 3 will work but not go as far as 6, but just cant see myself spending 5-600 dollars for batteries. Would like to figure out year and try to get it going before i stick alot of $$ in it. I called ez-go and from the id tag ive found with the serial # and stuff doesnt match anything. He said there shouldnt be any letters and i cant find any other spot on cart where id would be. I found this tag under seat on driver seat.
