Default regen braking

I have a 99 ez go dcs that I just installed the dcx400 controller, hd solenoid and 4 ga cables. In the instructions it said to locate a grey wire loom and disconnect it and tie it out of the way. I'm new to this still but I don't really know what to look for or where. Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks john

I have the same setup except mine is a limo. I did not have to disconnect anything to install the dcx400. It should just connect directly with the pin connection on your cart.

Yes it does connect directly to the pin connection but it had somethin about a grey wire loom, ill go re-read the directions, it runs fine n runs a lot faster but was just curious about that.

I got my controller used and it did not come with instructions so I used the ones on the alltrax website. I dont remember seeing a grey wire loom in there instructions. You may want to read up on there site.

Might be talking about the speed sensor on the end of the motor can?

it says "identify the gray wire loom from the tail end of the motor to the controller". it runs great and does fine, i just want to make sure i didnt leave anything hooked up that didnt need to be.

Its talking about a speed sensor from the motor(I Think). DCS motors do not have speed sensors. PDS motors do. So if you have a dcs motor in your cart you can ignore that part.
