What is it?
I've looked for the tag in all the usual places and cant find one. The rear end appears to be built in 91 with a date of 04-02-91. The front end has been pretty well butchered with the springs and all hardware missing so I'm needing to get some parts for it. There is a front and rear seat as you can see and wiring for head and tail lights. The FR switch has a 'blade' type handle I've not seen before.
Thanks for your help!! |

Re: What is it?
Looks like an EZGO liberty model.
The F/R handle is the same as the one on my '91 Marathon. I believe it is common and I actually like it better than the one on my TXT. The electrics should be the same as a equivalent year model Marathon. Yours looks to be a controller cart. |

Re: What is it?
After studying the pictures longer, I believe the front cowl is a Marathon style so either the front or rear is probably not original to the frame.

Re: What is it?
Definitely a controller cart and it's virtually identical to my 91 Marathon as far as the FR, controller, solenoid etc. Just wanting to make sure of the approximate year before I order leaf springs and hardware for the front.
Thanks!! |

Re: What is it?
Doesn't look like a Liberty. More like a fleet X-car. Either X440 or X444. Can't see the front end.

Best of luck with it. We'll be here...... Then again, if that's a controller cart it should be at least a Marathon, yes? |

Re: What is it?
Agreed, the front cap is not a liberty but the back sure looks like it.

Re: What is it?
Here's a pic of the front. I had to manufacture some springs to get it off the trailer and on the ground. The rear end suspension has been butchered pretty good to use springs off a Suzuki Samurai, thats why the back end is so high.

Re: What is it?
A little more info regarding the front end:
The info I can find says an 89-94 would use 17" front leaf springs but that doesn't set the axle far enough forward for the steering arm to pass the mid point. 19" was used 79-88 and that is long enough for everything to work as it should. As you can see, the front axle is 89-94. Think I'm going to call this one Frankenstein!! |
