Default Wires touching on motor

The 1994 Series Medalist I recently purchased had 2 wires touching on the bottom forward side of the motor, would this fry the Motor or fry other componenets?

Wouldn't be a problem as long as the insulation remains intact.

So what you're saying is they were disconnected and just touching the motor?
And you tried to start it with the batteries at a full charge?

I replaced a faulty controller and found those 2 wires had rubbed the insulation off and shorted on a CC once..... so it can happen.

One wire was loose and touching the other. Will it short the motor? I have a click at the solenoid but no go, the diode on the solenoid was warm , is the controller gone?
