potential problems with older carts
Im thinking about buying an older electric cart to ride the roads at my hunting club. I see a decent deal on an 83 ezgo that might need new batteries. Are there any other things to be catuious about besides batteries with a cart that old?

Re: potential problems with older carts
Is there a certian year that the parts become more available ie there the same as newer parts. What is the life expectancy of motors and controllers

First thing that comes to mind is buying one that needs batteries.....to many other things that could be bad that you do not know until the purchase and batteries are installed.....no matter what the year.

The first thing that comes to mind is this cart does not have a controller.
This is an older resistor coil drive system. They are wasteful of amperage and limited in off-road use. We offer conversion kits, go here to read about the kits for Club Car and Ezgo. http://cartsunlimited.net/Scottyb_s_Conversion_Kit.html |

Re: potential problems with older carts
It has batterys that work in it now according to the owner, but he has no idea how old they are. As for the conversion kits mentioned is the $149 part all you need or do you have to have 500-600 part below it also.
