Default Batteries quick to run down?

I have an old 85 model EZGO, resistor style. when running it on a full charge, it seems to run down the batteries quickly, I have checked all the connections, has good batteries and they do fully charge. Resitors are OK, but when running in about a half an hour running around the property, it starts loosing lots of power like the batteries are run down. there seems to be a lot of draw from the batteries going on?

Sounds like the batteries are getting old....maybe one is weak? Check with a voltmeter and a hydrometer to see if one is weaker than the rest. If unsure; post the test results here.

All the batteries are new and test fine. ll have the same voltage when tested. have not had a chance to run it this afternoon yet, but I did find a cabkle going to the F/R switch that was gettiing hot as heck. I put on a new one and cleaned up the connection, maybe that was it?

New batteries take several cycles to get to their full potential. Usually somewhere around 15-20 cycles and you should see their full potential.

And just one bad cable/connection can really muck up the entire works.

Know also that the resistor speed system is notoriously hard on the batteries.
