Default 36 volt moves backwards but not forwards

Yesterday while driving my cart around it stopped making forward progress. When I let off the pedal and pressed again I could hear a slight "hum" but the cart wouldn't move. When I put it in reverse it ran fine so needless to say the trip back to the house was interesting....anyway my cart has the fnr switch below the seat not on the dash. Any ideas?

you most likely need a new FnR switch.... inspect yours closely looking for melted areas.

Also make sure connections are tight.

Unless you've got a DCS or PDS cart, the controller isn't the problem.

Listen for the solenoid click.
If it doesn't click when the pedal is pushed, in both F and R, the problem is associated with MS-2.
If it does click, the problem is associated with the F/R switch assembly.
