Train horn plans
I know this is kind of dumb but does anyone have train horn plans. I really would like to build me a pair to put on my cart!
Thanks, Chase |

Re: Train horn plans
Just purchase some Wolo train horns from them online.......
Had a set on our Yamaha G9 big block we had several years ago. I've also put a set on my 09 Polaris Ranger under the hood and they are still loud enough to scare the crap out of people. |

Re: Train horn plans
They have different prices depending on the size of the horns. I paid around $50 for the models I had on the G9. I didn't pay that much for the ones on the Ranger, those were more like $30. But the louder you go the more $$$$ they cost. Here's the website....
http://www.wolo-mfg.com/ I have the air max currently on my Polaris Ranger. |

Re: Train horn plans
my son has a set of locomotive horns on his dodge ram truck. they're really loud. loud enough that i wouldn't want to be outside of the cab when he honks them. they require an air tank and a pretty serious compressor which would draw a lot of amps from your battery to keep the tank full. some of his friends just have their horns hooked up to a tank with a solenoid valve. they fill the tanks with at the gas station or my garage using my compressor. i've seen chinese locomotive horn set ups for sale on ebay for $200.00-$400.00.

Re: Train horn plans
Dont know what brand mine are but they are stainless steal, with replaceable baffles, a 5 gal air tank, and a viair continuous duty compressor. But I carry an impact and plug kit on my Chevy duramax. Horns were about 300 from the local truck shop, compressor was 150 online and tank was 20 from harbor freight.
