Default Keep DCS or not

I acquired a 97" DCS(complete) and a 01' PDS(parts cart) and I now have cart fever. Should I try to get this DCS going and sell it or should I build it? I want to put a lift kit on it. The solenoid is bad(new one on the way). The motor is bad and the rear end seal is leaking....I removed the rear end and motor from the PDS and was considering an install to the DCS cart(thoughts?). I have fabricated a 2 awg wire set. Not sure if the controller is good. The PDS parts cart has no controller. Also I have no charger(yet) and I removed the body from the 01' and put it on the 97' DCS(the body I removed from the 97' had been painted with spray paint). I have many other questions ....but this will do for now.

A lot of the mechanical and cosmetic parts are the same between the carts but the electronics are not. You'll either need to go one way or the other. Which means all DCS drive components or all PDS drive components. No mixing of the two. Let me know if you decide to get rid of whichever cart you pull the parts from. I'm looking for a rolling chassis to start a new project.

So if I use the motor and rearend off the PDS I will have to use(buy) a PDS controller?(the dcs controller will not work with it?)

PDS and DCS motors are the same and so are the rear ends....the controllers and wiring are diff but the motors are interchangable...no sad face :)

DCS was the predesessor to the PDS, I just wired in the PDS FnR switch for mine and it works great! Let me know I have a diagram for it.

Thanks for the info guys....this is great! I will let you know how I come out on this build. I am going to build my own lift kit and will probably end up getting a good controller. TGJR I will let you know about the chassis. Shady Golfer did you wire the PDS Fn R rocker switch to the DCS system(controller, etc.)?
