My 1995 Medalist DCS
Few pics as the progress goes! 400 Alltrax controller, heavy duty solenoid & diode/resistor from Scottie B
built my own 4ga heavy duty wiring through out. swapped DCS FnR switch to PDS switch thanks to Johnnie B! Not sure of the speed but is way faster than other carts on the course! |

Nice ride
Can you post a pic of the DCS conversion install? How are you liking it? |

Re: My 1995 Medalist DCS
Thanks Guys, Call it Red Bird One, Dela here's the diagram I used, the jumper from rev to power on the new switch should not be in there, but you do need to put a diode from fwd to rev prongs with the positive side towards the fwd side. it's been working great so far.

Re: My 1995 Medalist DCS
Here is a drawing without the jumper wire and with the diode.
The original DCS F/R assembly has to be completely disconnected and can be removed. (The hole it leaves, with a little enlarging, is a nice place for a high current 12V outlet if you have an electric impact wrench.) I think a 1N4004 can be used. Cathode (Band end) is connected to F terminal. |

Re: My 1995 Medalist DCS
Honestly?
It's a little too busy for these old eye to follow. It took me a few moments to realize the colors were depictions of the actual colors of the wires as given on schematic, rather than separations of current paths. Personally, I'd do the separate circuits on separate schematics. High current Solenoid activation F/R On the other hand, after going through all that effort, you probably know where each wire goes. |
