Default adding lift and tires

Hey just found this site and love it I have looked through the old school post but never found the answer to my question-how bad will 22" tires kill a 1987 electric ez-go marathon cart dug one out of a shed its in perfect conditon for its age i wan't to lift it but don't wan't a bunch of problems from doing so and i don't wan't to loose a lot of speed.this cart will be used for a neighborhood cruiser thanks in advance for any help

not sure what you mean by kill it.but taller tires will get more speed less torque.

thanks dough boy i guess what i wan't to know is should i expect problems from motor,controller etc.this cart is pure stock i have put new batteries in and am going to put larger battery cables should i do anything else?

Before ordering a lift, wheels and tires, get it running on the stock running gear. Find a decent uphill grade and try it with 2 adults onboard. Now imagine the performance on that same grade being worse. Is that what you want your cart to be? If not, get out the checkbook.

Where i live is flat the cart does good now with two adults so a little less tourqe is not a major problem i just don't wan't to burn up the motor just to have bigger tires i have acess to battery cable so i thought it could not hert to have bigger cables.This cart is old and was free so i don't wan't to put a ton of money in it.
