99 series to 04 pds
What all is required to switch from a series cart to a pds. Guy has a motor controller and solinoid. I know i need the forward and reverse switch but what about the throttle pedel is it the same?
I want more speed outta mine and i know a pds is faster than series stock for stock. He want 100.00 for it. |

You will need the motor, controller, cables, Rocker F&R, Switch plate, 2 wire harnesses and a pretty good knowledge of the difference between series and PDS drive systems and what makes em work

Re: 99 series to 04 pds
Well the good thing will be i have access to a pds cart so i can follow that. But i didnt know if the pedel was different or not. I knew the FnR switch had to be new but didnt know id the throttle was the same.
Also is what kinda speed difference is there in the pds vs series? |

Stock, there is 5 mph difference with the freedom 'chip' in the pds. That speed has it's trade offs. Like reduced torque and heat problems with tall tires and reduced speeds.

Re: 99 series to 04 pds
So ur saying i should just stick with a series cart and make it faster. Im not quiet ready to hopup anything yet but i seen that stuff on craigslist and it got me to thinking.
Id like to run 22-28 with 23 inch tire one day if its possiable. |

Re: 99 series to 04 pds
if you make it a PDS your going to have to up grade the controller and the solenoid, and the cables, if you want to run 23" tires

Re: 99 series to 04 pds
Controller, motor, and F/R switch, or leave the 36v motor and go 48volts,, it will have all the torque you want, and should do around 22 - 25 - 28
