Sagging Ezgo
I have a 04 Ezgo cart. I noticed the other day the cart looks to be sagging on driver side. Be easy on the fat jokes. But I was wondering how to tell the difference between bad shocks or sagging spring.

Re: Sagging Ezgo
Bad shocks do not control jounce and rebound as they are designed to. Bad springs cause sagging or lopsided stance.

Re: Sagging Ezgo
It's actually very common with these carts. You probably need new springs but you'll also want to check the spring mounts on the chassis. I had a heck of a time getting mine to sit level until I finally discovered that the right spring mount was actually damged.

Re: Sagging Ezgo
If you order springs, go ahead and order the bushings too. If the springs are done the bushings generally are too.

Re: Sagging Ezgo
With the cart on level-ground,measure a few different places on the cart to the floor.Measure from each corner at the axle to the ground, from the axle to the frame, and frame to ground. This will point to the problem. Most carts will settle to the left, since most of the time they only have a driver. It may have a bad or weak front-spring.If so,take them out,lay them on a table and compare them. The arch should be the same.If not, take them to a spring-shop and have them Re-Arch them, they can also add a small amount of arch to compensate for sagging from age/use.It will probably cost you more for gas to get to the Spring-Shop than to re-set the arch.I do this daily,Its' quick and easy.Shocks do nothing more than control the bouncing, unless they are a coil-over or air-shock.Hope this helps.

Re: Sagging Ezgo
I agree with paghanga90 on this one. Our local spring shop will even add a single leaf if you want a bit more stiffness/lift.
