2008 RXV front end rough ride?

Hey all. Complete newbie here, so excuse my ignorance.

Just bought an 08 RXV and noticed now that it clunks or thuds as if you are riding across gaps in concrete slabs if that makes sense. It's from a shop that has a warranty, but I'm trying to make sure it's not just me or an easy fix if not.

Do custom wheels tires need to be balanced? Not sure if this could be issue.

The rest are all new parts rebuilt.

Also how can I tighten front guard covering springs? It makes a noise in each sound I mentioned. It's tight but the bottom can be moved to create a bounce against them.

Make sure to look at the front A arm bushings, they are known to be worn out after a few years.

Bushings are good. New.

Can wheel balance be an issue on new sets with carts?

not necessarly the balance but out of roundness of the tires.

gofl cart tires are not trued like car tires. they are put in a mold and sent out. I have seen prob 100 tires be square (figure of speech). I have had some luck by repositioning the tire on the wheel and sometimes i just replaced the tire.

Mine are wood bell 325/30-12 with ss 4 bolt pattern. I noticed wheel was spinning fine from eying it and looked liked tires were off. I guess that's what you mean. I've dropped psi to 18, but can't find wood bell online...which is concerning. I thought low profile tires need more psi and max says 36.

Being low profile are you saying they could be too square and one not be round enough? Will that fix with wear?

If not, just replace? I can't take off and remount...unless I keep taking it in and paying.

Also it seems to be rear tires causing feeling up front.

If it is the cart the problem is usually bushings in the A-Arms as stated earlier or the struts are bad. You should be able to take the wheels to a tire shop and have them spun on a balancer I would think. I had mine balanced but they are mounted on 14" rims. The other thing to do would go through the entire front end and make sure all bolts are properly tightened. Good luck, Jeremy

New bushings and struts. I'm confident it's wheel/tire issue. Taking to shop.

Do I really need 4 jack stands for a cart to get all off or can 2 cut it? Can I just jack it down onto big stones and call it good?

What do you use when taking all 4 tired off?

I took the Carr itself to the tire store. Don't see why you couldn't use something under it. Just make sure it is sturdy. Stands of coarse would be the safest option thou.

Buy two and borrow the other two from a neighbor.
