Default 1996 DCS Cart charger problems

I have a 1996 DCS cart that when you plug the powerwise charger in the need jumps a few times then the charger shuts off. Plugged my charger from my 07 PDS in and it does the same thing. Plugged the DCS charger in my PDS and it works fine so the problem lies with the DCS cart. Any suggestions?

I suspect you have one or more bad batteries in the DCS cart.

What are the individual battery voltages?

How many amps does the needle jump to?

How many minutes does charger stay on?

Battery connected to battery - was the bad battery. Entire cart was only reading 34.5 volts. My fear is that once the new batteries get here and I put them in then I will find the controller to be fried.

If you tried running the DCS cart with 34.5V, that is a distinct possibility.
On a more positive note, if the controller is toast and you replace it with an Alltrax DCX400(DCS) or DCX500(DCS) along with a compatible solenoid and 4Ga or larger cables, you'll have a torque monster that also runs pretty quick.
