Sepex Motor Question
I am working on a 99 DCS ezgo that got a series motor installed into it instead of a sepex. I have a 2002 motor from a PDS cart, that should if memory serves me correctly be a sepex.
My question is will the 02 PDS motor work in the 99 DCS since they are both sepex? Thanks! |

Re: Sepex Motor Question
It might work, but I don't know if it would work right.
From what I've read around here, the DCS motor produces more torque with an aftermarket controller like the DCX400 than a PDS motor does. That tells me there is a difference in the size and/or turns of wire in the field and/or armature windings. If nobody that actually knows what the difference is, or if they are interchangeable, posts something, I'd give Plum Quick a call. |
