95 ezgo dcs goes then stop then goes again

Tested every thing I think good battery power good voltage
to and from the solinoid To controller when I jump the 2 lg posts the cart works fine any ideas help

Welcome to BGW!

Sounds like the solenoid is cutting in and out. you should determine if the activation circuit is complete or dropping out when the solenoid is not working to determine if indeed the solenoid is faulty or the problem is in activation circuit.

Thkyou for the welcome the solinoid does not click at all replaced it with a cole herese 36 continues volt solinoid no click but the motor run for a few min then dies I let it sit toggle the run tow switch and it repeats the process also I'm not sure what I'm looking for but it was a type of diod set up that went across the 2 lg posts it broken

What is the activation circuit you speak of ?

The 2 small posts need + and - to activate the solenoid. Here is the diagram with the activation circuit highlighted. I have seen one DCS with the same problem you have with your cart, the controller had failed. They key to this is the fact that when you reboot the control it works for a bit, then fails. Reboot and it works then fails.

I think you need a controller. Now is a good time to upgrade and gain torque and speed.

Thank you very much if this the case can you make a recommendation for upgrades this is a beach and campground cruiser lift kit tires ect are ther any other tests I can perform for some assurance

You should be able to confirm that you are loosing the solenoid activation from the controller with a voltmeter and the diagram.

I suggest the Alltrax 400 for this cart in that use. You will see about a 30% increase in power (torque) and speed up to 20mph on the flats. That's with good battery cables and a matching solenoid like the one in kit #505 here > http://cartsunlimited.net/Custom_Options.html
