You can add 12v to a resistor cart with liitle mods. A controller cart requires a higher voltage controller. There is a "boost" method, but I think thats for resistor carts too. Not sure. Search it out here on site.
On my resistor cart I raised to 48v and kept the 36v solenoid. I have since upgraded. I have heard of others having good luck with solenoid to 48v but it is not recommended from a safety point. Good luck.

Turbo, you must have some good roads to go around 200 acres in 15 minutes. I bushhog a trail around one 181 acre tract and its a good 30-40 minute trip. My roads are old logging roads from last cutting 7-8 years ago. I have washes, creeks, etc to deal with. A leisure drive is at least an hour.

That is interesting... how do they get a born on date? dealer/retailer stamp it when it walks out the door???
I'll have to buy the checker to dip the water and see how much life is in them...

On Trojan's the negative terminal is stamped with month and year of manufacture. The positive terminal is stamped with month and day that battery left factory. Or month and day electrolyte was added then shipped from factory??? CRS is gettin' bad....

I know negative post date info is accurate but I just don't remember exactly what the month and day stamp references on the positive post.

The last pic of the motor, It IS a stock 36 volt motor. Nothing special, used on many, many carts. Most common motor.
