EZGO Powerwise QE Charger
Just got a 2008 EZGO and went to charge it using the above listed charger. When plugged in the light flashed about 5 times alternating red then green and then shut off. I unplugged it and plugged it back in this time it alternated about 5 times between red and green an then stayed green for about 3-4 seconds and then turned off. Is the green light supposed to stay on? Sorry I am very new to all this so don't even know what the charger is supposed to do when it's charging. Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: EZGO Powerwise QE Charger
Welcome to BGW!
These might help. Try cleaning the contacts in the charger's plug and the cart's receptacle. If that doesn't work, you've got a boat anchor instead of a charger. Whoever sold you the cart didn't do you any favors by supplying a QE with it, they aren't repairable. If you bought it from a dealer, they ought to at least exchange it for one that works or refund a few $$$ so you can get one. If you do have to buy a new one, I use the 36V version of the DPI charger shown here and think it is the best thing since sliced bread. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/48v_Battery_Charger.html |
