Has anyone changed a dcs fnr to a rocker switch...

just did it this afternoon works just fine, make sure not to get your diode backwards!

Thanks for the reply. I hope this isn't too stupid a question, but do you completely remove the old DCS mechanism and just use the electric rocker switch wired in like the diagram I have seen here, or do you need a replacement mechanism for the old fnr as well?

The only stupid questions are the ones that are not asked.

Once the PDS type F/R switch is up and running, the DCS F/R assembly can be removed.
(But you'll have to relocate the reverse beeper that is physically located inside the silver hockey puck.)

The hole it leaves behind can be enlarged for a 12V power port
(Lighter outlet for those of us that aren't PC. )

To show how PC I am, technically, a power port doesn't have the bi-metallic gripper that a good ole' cigarette lighter does.
