Default ezgo batteries

I have an older ezgo textron and the batteries are completely dead so my automatic charger wont kick in. I have a 3 bank charger for my trolling motor batteries and was wondering how I could use this to charge the batteries enough to us my regular charger. I have read a few forums on this but am not sure where to begin. How do you identify the sequence of the batteries(1-6)? Do I use all three banks on my charger or do I just need to hook up to two batteries? Thanks

Welcome to the forum busgorto.................

I don't know anything about a 3 bank charger, but you can charge the batteries enough to get your charger to kick in and charge the entire pack with a simple 12 volt charger.

Every 2 batteries are 12 volts. Connect the charger to 2 batteries connected together, and then do the same to the next 2 batteries. Yes, red handle to positive and black to negative of the 2 for 12 volts.

Also, you don't need to disconect any batteries to charge them.

Thanks Rusty. I'll give it a try. The charger I have has three sets of cables to charge three batteries simultaneously, so I'll hook them all up(three sets of two) at once or should I do it two at a time?

Assuming you have 3 banks of 12v each, you can charge 2 each of the 6v batteries with each set of leads from your 3 bank charger.

As always, if you are uncertain at how or where to connect your charger leads a digital volt meter is always best practice to confirm the voltage before you connect a load.

As rusty said, you do not have to disconnect any battery leads to charge the pairs.

Good luck.
