Default CAR O FUTURE BURNS terminal

You guys at this site have been very helpful. I have upgraded to a Bandit Motor, 400 amp Altrax controller and 4 guage wires. Also lights and stereo. No lift yet and stock tires.Next year I will do that project. I have a 2002? EZGO 36 volt cart. Right now I think it moves along about 22 mph. great. Yesterday driving up a hill here it stopped and I smelled smoke. Looking under the seat one of the battery cable terminals was completely melted away from the battery. Bad,I thought. Towed it home, in TOW and remembered a thread where this happened to someone else and he tapped in a stud and resurrected his battery. I DID THIS. And it worked! I have also poked a hole in the side of one of my batteries and repaired it with a WATERWELD product from JB WELD and filled it back up with acid. Also Great. Why am I even bringing this up. As some of you know my cart is SOLAR POWERED, not solar assist. 3 years and never plugged it in. I am doing this as an experiment, in hopes of getting normal years out of my Trojans or maybe a lot more. Nobody knows. But it seems I am doing a lot to sabotage my project. The project started in Baja because I HAD no place to plug it in. Thanks, and thanks for listening to the continuing story. Happy So Far
