Question 79 EZ GO went completely dead

I'm new to the forums, so I'll start by saying hello to everybody and thanks for any help I can get.
I have a ez go model 79h18, so I assume it to be a 1979 model. I got in it the other day, put it in reverse and the buzzer went off like usual but when I hit the gas pedal it went completely dead. No back up buzzer, nothing. I checked the batteries and they are fully charged. The resistor and resistor cables are new and the batteries are only a few years old. I have checked and cleaned all the battery connections, all of the F/R connections, all of the motor connections and the solenoid connections. When I put it in reverse and hit the pedal you can here the solenoid clicking. When I put it in forward and hit the pedal I hear nothing. I jumped across the big post of the solenoid and got nothing. I have a digital voltmeter but I'm not sure where to check to find out what needs replaced.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

Thanks for the info. I'll check the F/R control and any switches it has.
