New guy from S.E. Iowa
Hey guys i just got a 1987 ezgo marathon electric given to me. four of the six batteries dont hold a charge anymore so i am going to put in a 18 horse vangaurd with a comet torque converter clutch set up. The motor is the support bearings and the rear end gear so i am going to gut the motor and machine a new shaft from stress proof steel. and slot the motor case for a chain. The motor case will have the biggest sprocket i can get in it and still have room for the chain. It needs some body work but i need to get it running first. there are two black batteries are still good and for sitting for 3 years outside i would say thats pretty good. the rest of the batteries im gonna scrap it also has a canopy that came with it. when im alowwed to post in the for sale section i will put the batteries and the fwd and rev switch on there.
