Default Re: New owner 92 EZGO runtime/charging problems

Ok...The batteries charged overnight for 15.4 hours. I got the following readings....

6.18
6.29--6.28
6.29--6.24
6.11

I got a pack reading of 37.3v
I didn't get a chance to get a reading right after charging was complete. I also forgot to check the battery dates:(

I did take readings with a hydrometer though. Mine is the style that looks like an eye dropper with 4 colored balls. The suspected bad battery had 2 cells where all the balls would float but the 3rd cell only 1 would float. The very far right battery had 3-4-3 in order of floating balls (if that makes any sense). I'm not sure what that means with which ones float to which ones sink. I'm still looking for a couple used batteries and I will be going to pick up some wire in the next day or two. Any suggestions on where to buy the wire?

I think the lead acid battery is considered hazardous material. Not able to be shipped.
Do you have access to a 12v car charger? You can put the two weakest batteries together and charge them a till they read above the rest and see how much they settle ?

Oh man, its been a long week. I wasn't even thinking about it being hazardous. I have a 12v charger. I'll see what I can do.

Hook them up like this charge them until they are over 13 volts and see where they settle to in 30 minutes. You may have to go alittle higher.

Two 6v in series
